Social Media Manager


This individual will work directly with the Head of Marketing – Incubation & Disruptive Innovation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Curate content that aligns with IDI and Incubator department goals and values to build a consistent social presence
  • Maintain and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for the building and managing of corporate handles including Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, including editorial planning, content strategy, engagement strategy, KPIs and benchmarks
  • Build, own and facilitate social media editorial processes and communications across the Client’s global social media ecosystem to enable content sharing and amplification across channels
  • Plan and schedule content and adjust the social media editorial calendar as needed, prioritizing content on each platform for maximum impact
  • Write and produce content for IDI and Incubator Yammer channels
  • Leverage research, social listening, and data analysis to distill meaningful and actionable insights
  • Pull data and insights for analytics measurement and reporting from the tools and teams who contribute to our priority social media accounts for holistic reporting
  • Determine best practices and provide context and guidance for social media content development
  • Communicate the centralized social media editorial calendar with the regions and geos and other stakeholders as needed
  • Synthesize technical writing and transform information into digestible, engaging copy presented in the cohesive voice of the department

Skills & Qualifications

  • A global strategic mindset and capable of partnering with stakeholders across the organization to bring excellence to Client’s social media
  • A strong grasp of Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn features and functionality, with an understanding of how to optimize and schedule social media content for maximum results on each platform
  • Has a finger on the pulse of new trends and best practices, with the ability to understand historical, current, and future trends in the digital content and social media space
  • An understanding of social media metrics, A/B testing, and how to analyze and translate results into editorial optimization that ties directly back to social strategy
  • An ability to source content and identify voices to spotlight that align with department strategy
  • An ability to easily and simply articulate complex ideas
  • Is comfortable taking the lead and owning social channel development with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude
  • Highly organized and impeccable project management skills with the ability to manage multiple content pipelines
  • Capable of leading and growing a social team from the ground up
  • A strong social writer capable of authoring engaging email, web copy and social content

Education & Experience

  • Experience building and managing social media handles and processes
  • Experience working on and managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with social listening, publishing and analytics tools (e.g. Sprinklr, Smartsheets, Talkwalker, etc.)
  • Experience and interest in the Technology sector, especially in the Innovation and Incubation space
  • Able to provide writing samples upon request
  • Start-up or agency experience preferred
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in social media for a global organization
